Wolves & Foxes (Thoughts on our Elected Officials)

I hate the two party system. A friend of mine asked me why I had not written or posted anything about the Govt Shutdown? My response was that we should not be surprised by nature of the political animals we release on this country. We assume that these politicians are on a leash. We presume that they will act only with our deliberation. The politicians we vote in are not a part of our family. They are not indoctrinated in our communities. They live and operate to feed their own hungers. Sadly, Americans forget that not all dogs can be domesticated. If we seek to find proof of this, look at the wolf and the fox. The wolf moves in a pack. He is deliberate and will take what he wants. He will do it bluntly. He will not care about your sensibilities and pains. He will come in and forcibly take the food from your table. He will attack your family and kill the weakest link. He cares little about your babies, elderly, or infirmed; they are easy targets for his vicious nature. He is not alone and his pack brothers support him to the death. They will fallow the alpha into the most mind-boggling situations. Whatever party controls congress acts as the wolf! Sadly the wolf is not the only omnivorous violation operating in our political spectrum. We also are victims to his more timid brother the Fox. The fox is a smooth talker. He tells you he disagrees with the wolf's tactics. He seems innocent and you start to see him as a domesticated pet. You drop your guard and side with him. You have forgotten that the Fox is still feral and will attack you when he sees weakness. He is a opportunistic killer but he kills just the same. He can run alone or in packs and this makes him just as deadly. He is a scavenger and when hungry he will turn on your family or you to fill his belly. Yet, we trust the fox and praise his wily ways: "Boy that guy is a sly fox!" We get sucked into his false illusion because he usually gives us a welcome alternative to the overbearing wolf. We forget that they both will gladly share in decimating and destroying our most prized possessions: Our families! Whoever is not in control of Congress usually acts as the fox. No I did not comment on these issues because I have understood them for a long time. I read a speech by Malcolm X years ago (THE BALLOT OR THE BULLET) and he broke it down somewhat and opened my eyes to the lies of our politicians. We are all being manipulated and it is up to us to figure that out. We need to stop voting in these foxes and wolves. We feel we can domesticate them and we fail over and over again with these political parties. If you want to stop it, open your eyes and realize you have been deluding yourself into thinking these savage creatures can ever mean you any good. Stop embracing the Wolf and the Fox. Look for someone that will help your family and you won't see these two factions on TV bartering for your bones.
